About Me

My name is Georgios Lazaridis — system administrator, web developer, and IT consultant based in Munich. What started as a passion for technology in 2002 has become my career: building, securing, and maintaining IT infrastructure. In 2015, I completed my certification as a certified IT specialist for system integration (IHK Munich) and have since been working at the intersection of infrastructure, security, and web development.

Since late 2023, I serve as the sole IT specialist at Wohnstift Am Entenbach in Munich — a senior living facility with approximately 350 residents and 130 employees. I manage the entire technical infrastructure: Proxmox virtualization, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, network and security architecture with Sophos XGS firewall and UniFi, endpoint security with ESET, and specialized care management software.

Previously, I spent over 15 years as an IT consultant at Xcelsus GmbH in Munich. I supported over 20 clients across diverse industries: international companies like Sisley (luxury cosmetics) and Knorr-Bremse (automotive), medical practices, real estate companies, software houses, and the Greek Consulate General in Munich. My focus: network design, server administration, client architecture, web development, and hands-on IT support — from the server rack to the finished web application.

Beyond traditional IT, I build custom web applications and automation tools using TypeScript, Python, Astro, and Docker. I deploy my projects on self-managed cloud servers with Traefik as a reverse proxy and CI/CD via GitHub Actions. I also run an extensive private homelab with Proxmox, Home Assistant, and numerous self-hosted services where I test new technologies in a production-like environment before deploying them professionally.

AI-powered development is an integral part of how I work: from code generation with Claude and GitHub Copilot to automated analysis and documentation — I use AI tools not as a novelty, but as a genuine productivity multiplier.
